Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They typically remember your session or preferences between page loads.
2. How this website uses cookies
We use two kinds of cookies: strictly necessary technical cookies (always on – the booking and contact forms cannot work without them) and anonymous visitor statistics (Google Analytics), which we load only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Essential cookies (always on)
- Session cookie (…_session) – keeps your session together while you browse and book, for example your booking in progress. Expires a few hours after your visit.
- XSRF-TOKEN – protects the booking and contact forms against cross-site request forgery attacks. Expires together with the session.
Both cookies are set by this website only, are not shared with anyone and contain no marketing identifiers.
4. Statistics cookies (only with your consent)
After you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4, which helps us understand how many people visit the site and which tours they look at. The data is processed by Google (Google LLC); we have not enabled any advertising features.
- _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics) – distinguish visitors anonymously; expire after up to 2 years.
Your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change it any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer – declining removes nothing you need for booking, the site works exactly the same.
5. Third-party services
Two more external services are used on this website, neither of which sets cookies on our pages:
- OpenStreetMap – the meeting point map loads map images from openstreetmap.org servers. Your IP address is sent to them as part of loading the images, as with any image on the internet.
- SumUp – online payments take place on SumUp’s own secure page (checkout.sumup.com). SumUp uses its own cookies there under its own privacy and cookie policies.
6. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent the booking and contact forms from working, because the security protections depend on them.
7. Changes and contact
Any changes to this policy will be published on this page. Questions? Write to us at info@frostbite-expeditions.com.
